"What Every
"Professional" Network Marketer Should Know to Build
a Profitable Money-Making Business"
By E. Kinton
If you are a
"professional" network marketer, this is probably one of the
most important articles that you will read this year. Please
notice the emphasis on the word "professional."
I'm not talking to people that are in illegitimate
businesses or money games. I'm talking to real people with
real businesses that are trying to find a better way to make
it happen.
Basically, there are two groups of people in network
marketing when it comes to the business side of things.
Group #1: People that are making money.
Group #2: People that are not making any money.
So, which group are you in? It really doesn't matter how
much money you are making as long as you are happy with that
amount.
What's more important is whether or not you are effectively
growing your business to your satisfaction, or are you
spinning your wheels and wasting time.
Here is the greatest problem faced by those that want to
start a home business--more specifically, a network
marketing type of
business...
They simply do
not accept the fact that it requires a certain amount of
skills to be successful. You must learn new skills to
succeed in virtually every business or endeavor you pursue
in life, so why not in this business? Well, it's generally
because you have been misled or tricked into believing that
someone is going to do it for you, or that all you have to
do is join and tell everyone that you know about your
business. You may have
been told things like:
* We will give
you massive spillover
* Just make a list of everyone you have ever known
* Call your family and friends and tell them about your
product or service
* Contact 100 people a day and it will happen for you
* Don't waste time with people that sound non-energetic
* Stick business cards in all the bookstore's magazines
I can go on and on with the techniques that are taught.
Unfortunately, you will be hard pressed to find a majority
of
people that can verify that these things have actually
worked for
them. Instead, you will find a pile of beat up, run down,
entrepreneurs searching for a real way to build this
business.
All of them are asking the same basic question... "How do I
succeed in this business?"
Face the realization that you must build your skills to
succeed
in almost anything and that same mindset definitely applies
to
building a successful home business. Start off with some of
these basics:
* Develop the habit of reading and learning regularly
* Sharpen your skills in building relationships with people
* Study the basics of cost effective marketing
* Understand that network marketing is NOT a sales business
* Realize that 92% of the population does not want to be
sold
* Get yourself a mentor

The network marketing industry is one of the best kept
secrets on
the planet. Unfortunately, there are many people that fail
to
realize the importance of developing new skills to be
successful.
There is an even greater number of people out there that
recognize this and will use your lack of skills for their
personal gain.
Times are changing. More and more entrepreneurs are starting
to
become educated as to the potential of this great industry
but it
all starts with you. If you really want to be successful and
earn a repeating monthly income, take the time to invest in
yourself ,and do it right.
As I like to say..."just because a path is well worn, it
doesn't
mean that it's the right path." Often, there is a better
way.
